As our tagline states, Hubris is...

...a fun-loving, piratical, licentious, geeky band of fire freaks who seek to entertain and amuse with wickedly creative antics. The founding members of Hubris are Hobbit, Sock Monkey, and Cookie Monster; they and their Fellow Members, Consorts, Attendants, and Other Assorted Hangers-On will be thrilled to introduce you to the magical wonders of the Arts of Fire. Just ask them.

We are not just a fire performance troupe, but a collection of fire performers who also excel at teaching various fire arts. Traveling along the eastern seaboard, we perform throughout the region and have appeared from Massachusetts to Virginia, and various spots in between.

We have been teaching at Free Spirit Gathering for more than four years, and performed at Fires of Venus in 2009.

Hubris also appeared at Walk This Way's Becky's Fund charity fund-raiser event on October 6, 2009 in Washington, DC.

Since then we have performed at Wicked Faire in February, 2010, as well as the Steampunk Worlds Fair in May, 2010 (both in Piscataway, NJ). We also made a brief appearance at Nexus Faire II in April, 2010, in Charlton, MA.
